Sustainability Planning

Sustainability is responsible for coordinating sustainability initiatives on the campus by facilitating and participating in planning, coordinating implementation, tracking, assessing, and reporting progress.  Sustainability is guided by the Climate Action Implementation Plan (CAIP) to achieve the UIC Climate Commitments of Carbon Neutral Campus, Zero Waste Campus, Net Zero Water Campus, and Biodiverse Campus.  The OS supports the Chancellor’s Committee on Sustainability and Energy (CCSE).
