Carbon Neutral Campus Goal: UIC will strive to achieve carbon neutrality with net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through reducing and offsetting emissions related to operations and travel.

These two classroom buildings on the east side of campus earned the LEED® Gold certification featuring many energy efficient systems including solar panels, geothermal energy, large windows to maximize daylighting, and automated shades and cooling sensors.
