Zero Waste Campus Goal: UIC will divert 90% of landfill-bound material through techniques such as source reduction, materials reuse, recycling, and composting.
This common outdoor space that once served as a Greek-styled amphitheater in the middle of campus is now a place to meet-up before classes in the Lecture Centers. If you need to recycle glass, metal, plastic or paper out here, there are many “Bigbelly” solar-compacting recycling stations to choose from.
