Teaching & Learning Goal: UIC will create meaningful interdisciplinary and sustainability-focused learning and research opportunities for its students.

This building is home to the Sustainability Internship Program. During the Spring and Summer semesters, you can find a number of interns working in the offices focusing on projects like Recycling Rest, Bicycle Census, Tree Campus, Freezer Challenge and Greenhouse Data Inventory. This two-story mid-century building is named after the street it is on and has five large Honeylocust trees just mere feet from the east façade, helping to reduce the building’s urban heat island effect.
