UIC Chapter of Food Recovery Network is Recruiting Volunteers

Want to help reduce the food waste at UIC Dining Halls? Want to know the behind scenes of East Cafe? Help out the UIC chapter of the Food Recovery Network (FRN) this semester! In FRN, we research and contact Non-profit organizations to donate leftover food from UIC Cafeteria. Currently we are just at the UIC East Cafe, but with your help, it can be much more productive! The UIC Office of Sustainability has worked with students to begin the UIC Chapter of Food Recovery Network past summer. In UIC Food Recovery’s first academic semester, We are recruiting volunteers who can help consistently this Fall 2014. Volunteers will help recruit the non-profit agencies, update food donation logistics, promote the FRN program, and take photos during donations. Get to know friendly dining hall staff and other FRN chapters around the country! Please contact Jullie Han at for more information.
